About Audrain County, MO - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Audrain County is located in central Missouri, and approximately 25,600 people call the area home. Mexico serves as the county seat, and the cities of Centralia, Farber, Laddonia, and Vandalia are also found here. Known as the “Biofuel Capital of Missouri”, this county has become a leader in the rapidly growing industry of biofuel refining, although there are also a mix of manufacturing companies, rural enterprises, and productive farms in the area.

Audrain County offers both visitors and residents a wealth of activities and things to do. Mexico is home to the Audrain County Historical Museum and the American Saddle Horse Museum. The Miss Missouri Pageant is also held here each year, and the winner goes on to represent the state in the hopes of becoming Miss America.

Nature lovers might also like to make a stop in Audrain County. Chance Garden, a horticultural attraction over 80 years old, is located in Centralia. It offers a variety of flowers, shrubs, and other flora, and the nearby Rose Garden appears reminiscent of 1904 Victorian style houses. Outdoor recreational facilities can also be found at Tri County Park or Daniels Park in Vandalia.

The weather in Audrain County is typical of a northern humid subtropical climate zone. Winter weather tends to be cool with frequent precipitation, although snowfall totals only average at about 18 inches per season. However, just because the area receives moderate snowfall doesn’t mean that the winter months are dangerous. Overnight lows routinely below freezing, and daytime highs average in the upper-30s. The right furnace can make a big difference in home safety and comfort levels.

Summers in Audrain County are hot and humid, and severe thunderstorms are common. Temperatures often exceed 90 degrees Fahrenheit, so a reliable central air conditioner is a wise investment. These systems will keep indoor conditions comfortable regardless of what conditions are present outdoors.
