About Montgomery County, MO - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Located in eastern Missouri, Montgomery County is a small county with only about 12,300 residents. Montgomery City serves as the county seat, and both were named in honor of American Revolutionary War General Richard Montgomery. There are two school districts located in the county with one high school – Montgomery County High School. Montgomery County is located midway between St. Louis and Columbia and is part of the Missouri Rhineland.

Montgomery County has a few destinations that may be of interest to visitors. Montgomery City is home to Graham Cave State Park, which offers 386 acres of hiking, camping, fishing, and boating opportunities. Central Missouri is a great destination for antique hunters, and those that make their way into Montgomery County might like to visit Ohana Flea Market and Antiques in Wellsville or Route 161 Antiques and Oni II Flea Market & Antiques in Montgomery City. The small town of New Florence also has a couple of popular businesses for wine and spirit lovers, including Wood Hat Spirits Distillery and the Curling Vine Winery.

Montgomery County is part of a humid subtropical climate zone. Residents of the area will enjoy four distinctive seasons throughout the year, which makes it a great place for outdoor lovers. During the winter months, cross country and downhill skiers can enjoy some fresh powder, although the area tends to be mild and cool compared to the rest of the U.S. However, daytime highs struggle to reach the freezing point on many days, so the right furnace is a necessity to stay warm indoors.

During the summer months, the area’s numerous lakes, hiking trails, and parks get a lot of use. Temperatures surpass 90 degrees many days throughout the season, and humidity levels are also high. An energy efficient central air conditioner is a wise investment for indoor comfort and high quality circulating air.
