About Auxvasse, MO - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Originally known as Clinton City, Auxvasse is a small Calloway County city located in Central Missouri. Only about 1,000 people call the community home, although the city’s history dates back to 1873. The current name comes from the nearby Auxvasse Creek, and the city sits just south of Mexico. Other major metropolitan areas are also located nearby – Columbia is 30 miles west, while St. Louis is about 110 miles to the southeast.

While this small city isn’t home to any notable attractions, there are several businesses here that provide employment opportunities to residents. Clintons Banquet Hall is a popular place to hold a wedding, party, or other event, and Brenda’s Cut & Curl can help partygoers to get ready. There are several specialty shops located in the city, including Baumgartner’s Furniture, Dollar General, and Dusty Attic Auction, and the Auxvasse Bar & Grill is a great place to get a drink after a long day of shopping.

Auxvasse borders both humid subtropical and humid continental climate zones. Climate controls are needed at different points in the year, starting with the cool winter months. While snowfall is minimal, residents still need to make an investment in a gas or electric furnace. Overnight lows can be frigid, and sleet and freezing rain are common. The right furnace will keep indoor temperatures comfortable and will protect pipework and other structural elements of a property.

Summers in the Auxvasse area tend to be humid, hot, and hazy. Daytime highs average in the upper-80s during July and August, but there are many days where thermostat readings even surpass 90 degrees. Since outdoor activities are so popular in this part of the state, residents often invest in a central air conditioner at home. This provides a cool place to return home to after a long day out in the sun.
